Payfloor

Guide

How Payfloor works

What each tool does, how the new minimum pay works, and where to find your numbers in Uber Eats and DoorDash.

The minimum pay rules

Since 17 August 2026, a Fair Work Commission order sets a minimum for food and grocery delivery through apps like Uber Eats and DoorDash.

  1. Only time on orders counts

The clock starts when you accept an order and stops when you finish it. Waiting for the next offer, breaks, and cancelled or abandoned jobs don't count.

  2. Your minimum is worked out

Hours on orders times the rate for your vehicle. The app checks this over each pay period, which can be up to 21 days. DoorDash checks weekly.

  3. The app tops up any gap

If the app paid you less than that, it pays the difference in the next period, or within 7 days after it.

Where to find your numbers

You need two numbers for one pay week: your time on orders, and what the app paid you, not counting tips.

DoorDash

  1. Open the Dasher app and go to Earnings.
  2. Pick the week you want to check.
  3. The weekly total and breakdown are at the top. DoorDash calls time on orders active time.
  4. If DoorDash topped you up, you'll see a DoorDash pay adjustment line.

Uber Eats

  1. Open the Uber Driver app and go to Earnings, or sign in at drivers.uber.com.
  2. Pick the week and open the weekly statement.
  3. Use the total for trips and promotions. Leave out tips.
  4. Uber calls time on orders engaged time. If you can't find it, ask Uber support for your engaged time for that period. Apps must keep a record of it.

App screens change often. If these steps are out of date, tell us and we'll fix them.

Questions

Why leave out tips?

Tips come from customers, not the app, and they don't count toward the minimum. DoorDash says this in its guide to the rules.

Do bonuses and promotions count?

Things like peak pay, quests and extra pay per delivery are paid by the app, so we include them. The rules don't spell this out clearly. If your result is close to the line, try it again without bonuses to see the stricter answer.

Why is my real hourly rate so much lower?

The minimum only covers time on orders. Waiting between orders isn't paid, and the rate is meant to cover your fuel and car costs too. The real pay calculator on the home page shows yours.

Do I need to register for GST?

If you only deliver food or goods, you only need to register once you earn $75,000 or more in a year. If you also drive passengers for Uber, DiDi or similar, you must register from your first fare, and that covers your delivery income too.

Cents per km or logbook?

Cents per km lets you claim 91 cents for each work kilometre in 2026-27, up to 5,000 km, with no receipts for car costs. If you drive more than that for work, a logbook kept for 12 weeks usually gives a bigger claim. Ask a registered tax agent which suits you.

Is my data safe?

Everything you type stays in your browser on your device. We don't have accounts, ads or tracking cookies. We count visits and button clicks without knowing who you are. The privacy page explains exactly what we count.

Can I use this in my language?

Yes. Your browser can translate the whole page, including the calculators. On a phone, open the browser menu and choose Translate.

About Payfloor

Payfloor is made by a delivery driver in Brisbane who works in IT. The new minimum pay only helps if you can check it, and the numbers are spread across different screens in each app. So I made a simple tool to do it.

It's free, it keeps your numbers on your device, and it shows where every rule comes from. Got an idea or found a mistake? Send a suggestion.
